Her Money Circle
Many young women face barriers to entry in investing as they are overwhelmed by the complex financial world, lack confidence and trust in online courses. We aim to break these barriers by building a female community that educates, supports, and empowers young women to start their wealth building journey in a safe, judgement free space!

Twisted
Problem we are solving: ’Nearly half of drugs being developed are produced in two forms - one left handed and one right handed. While one form is associated with thereuptic effects, the other is responsible for harmful side effects. To separate these mirror-symmetric forms, the drug industry uses devices that are expensive to buy and run - at 100K per device, are very wasteful, and exhaustingly slow, producing only a few milligrams per day from a single device. We have invented a device that can perform this handed separation faster while ensuring high quality at a much lower cost.'

Sam: Carbon Rocks
Decarbonising the economy will require large quantities of metals, for example nickel for batteries. Significant quantities of these important metals are locked away in waste rock from mines, some of which are very chemically reactive and known to remove CO2 from the atmosphere. These reactions can also be used to improve the recovery of Nickel from mine wastes. Chemical reactions also produce silica for its use in solar panels. Carbon Rocks seeks to re-process wine wastes from old mine sites to sequester carbon whilst producing nickel and silica.

Carly and Justin: Knodes
While attending the 2019 Our Ocean Conference in Norway, PhD candidates, Justin Geldard and Carly Portch, noticed a lack of discussion regarding collaboration between academics and entrepreneurs to solve ocean challenges, despite the breadth of knowledge and talent in both industries. This sparked the idea to create Knodes, a program aiming to bridge the gap between academics and start-ups to accelerate sustainable solutions.
