Open to all UWA student founders or aspiring entrepreneurs, this is a presentation and Q&A opportunity with one of the best law firms in Perth! Having worked with multiple startups and scale ups this workshop will cover the following legal topics:

1. Protecting your ideas – NDA’s and entity.
2. Intellectual property protection – trademarks, patents, copyright and other protection.
3. Governance – constitutions, decision-making, and shareholder agreements.
4. Getting a deal – understanding the legal documents  involved and expected by investors – discussion of commercial contracts, term sheets, due diligence, subscription agreements, simple agreements for future equity, convertible notes and other fundraising considerations.
